Morgan Polypropylene Kama - Pair

The Kama started life as a simple farming tool before being adapted into a compact, highly effective weapon. A staple of Okinawan kobudō, kama are traditionally wielded in pairs and slot easily into kata and display routines.

Our Training Kama are moulded from heavy-duty polypropylene specifically for full-contact practice. Tougher and more consistent than timber, the polypropylene construction delivers reliable performance session after session while remaining safe for partner work.

Key features

• Made for training: robust enough for full-contact drills and demonstrations.
• Timber alternative: more durable and less prone to the natural faults found in wood.
• Easy to maintain: under very high use the plastic can develop a slight bend — simply flex gently in the opposite direction to restore shape.
• Purpose-built for clubs and dojos: designed to withstand repeated full-contact training while keeping students safe.
• Consistent quality: precision moulding gives straight, true weapons that match across pairs — ideal for synchronised kata and demonstrations.
• Backed by Morgan Sports know-how: developed with input from martial arts practitioners to balance realism and durability.

Usage & care

• Use for training, demonstrations and kata practice; avoid striking extremely abrasive or metal surfaces to prolong life.
• If the kama develops a slight mould bend after intensive use, carefully flex in the opposite direction to correct it.
• Wipe clean after use and store in a dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight to prevent UV degradation.
